In the new movie Book Club, Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen play friends who’ve been meeting every month for 40 years to talk about books. We are introduced to them on the day they begin reading “Fifty Shades of Grey,” the first book in E.L. James’s erotic trilogy. The movie goes on to follow these four longtime friends on their own personal journeys of self-discovery. Keaton is a widow torn between moving in with her kids and romancing Andy Garcia. Fonda is a swinging single navigating her fear of commitment. Bergen is a judge exploring the wild world of online dating. But we think it's Mary Steenburgen, who plays a long-married woman trying to seduce her recently retired husband - played by Craig T. Nelson - who really steals the show. Last week, Dirty Water Media's Kennedy Elsey caught up with Steenburgen to talk about her real life romance with husband Ted Danson, whether or not she read Fifty Shades in real life, and then critiques Kennedy's online dating profile.
