Essai Skoda Citigo 1.0 75 Style 5 portes 2017

All-New 2018 Skoda Citigo

All-New 2018 Skoda Citigo ome of you may know the Skoda Citigo under the name "Volkswagen Up!" or "SEAT Mii". Essentially, these cars share 95% of their parts and are built at the same factory in the Czech Republic. For a while, it looked like VW was going to discontinue the trio due to lack of profits, but a new report suggests otherwise. Skoda views it as a key model, especially since it's the first contact many customers have with the brand. As we've seen when the new Polo, Corsa or Fiesta came out, there isn't a need for an all-new platform to be used. Rather, customers expect updated styling and more technology to be offered for the smallest price possible. The Citigo 2 will carry a more distinctive design, because Peugeot and Citroen are clearly differentiating their A-segment vehicles from the Toyota Aygo now. In three years, the smallest Skoda model could end up looking a lot like the Superb sedan, which just came out. However, the aggressive lines will be replaced by quite a few sweeping curves since the clientele is predominantly female. The Citigo is almost tied for the class lead with the Hyundai i10 in terms of luggage space, so we could see a bit more "Simply Clever" added for good measure. But the most interesting fact about the Citigo 2 is that there will be an electric version. This will use a 60 PS motor and should have a total driving range between 150 and 200 kilometers (92 and 124 miles). Prices will start at around €15,000 (£11,047), making it considerably cheaper than the e-UP! that Volkswagen sells today. autoevolution
