http://www.mercedesexpert.com Offered for sale is this incredible 1964 Avanti from Studebaker, an R1 Coupe in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition, and with only 7K original miles.  Finished in Avanti Black outside with Claret Red Regal interior, this car is an absolute time machine, and runs and drives like new.  The front disc brakes have been given the important dual-stage master cylinder and rotor/caliper update, which cost the current owner almost $4k to do.  The interior is all original, with everything from illumination to air conditioning working as it should.  Outside is immaculate, and there is no rust or corrosion underneath.  This is a top level Avanti, and increasingly collectible.  Do not miss this one! Please phone us at (239) 649-7300 for sales information.

Classics Revealed: The Unbelievable Studebaker Avanti

(www.TFLcar.com) On this episode of The Fast Lane Classics, we take a look at one of the most unbelievable American Cars to come from the roaring sixties: The Studebaker Avanti. ( http://www.TFLcar.com ) It was the early 1960's and one of America's quirky car companies was on the ropes. The company was Studebaker and sales of their somewhat dowdy and conservative cars was decline. So what did the designers at Studebaker decide to do? They swung for the fences and designed and eventually built the Studebaker Avanti. Was it the right car but the wrong company or was it the right company but the wrong car? The fiberglass body Avanti didn't save the company but Studebaker had built and designed a car that looked like it was from 2003 instead of 1963. Check out another Classics Reveled as TFLcar brings you another up close and personal look at a classic cool car.

Vintage! Studebaker Avanti | Drive it!

In 1963, Porsche presented the 911 and Chevrolet the Corvette Sting Ray. Studebaker tried to stay in the game with its Avanti sports coupe. It was styled by famed designer Raymond Loewy, the creator of Coca-Cola's legendary bottle. Drive it! recalls an extremely rare design icon and its checkered history.
