10 Awesome Techniques to Become a Skilled Driver

How to drive a car like a pro? You probably feel like you could learn some more driving hacks to become a better driver and make driving an even better experience. Take a look at ten awesome driving tips we have put together to make your driving safer! TIMESTAMPS Take a defensive driving course 0:51 Brake with your left foot 1:55 Move at the same speed as the other vehicles 2:41 Keep your hands on the wheel at the proper position 3:14 Control understeering and oversteering 3:54 Park precisely 4:41 Use the handbrake to perform a handbrake turn 5:26 Use heel-toe downshifting 6:11 Pay attention to cars in the distance 6:44 Adjust the mirrors to eliminate blind spots 7:18 SUMMARY - The best thing about defensive driving courses is that you can take them online, and they only cost around $30 but will save you much more money. How? Taking a state and court approved course can be the reason for traffic ticket dismissal. It will also help you save up to 10% on car insurance and take violation points off your driving record. - Breaking with their left foot, they don’t have to waste precious fractions of a second while moving the right foot to the brake pedal. Left-foot braking also lets them use the brake and the gas at the same time. It is a difficult technique that requires regular practice, but it is worth it, even if you don’t plan to become an auto racer. - Driving at a speed that is lower or higher than the speed of other traffic is dangerous as it can cause accidents. That’s why when choosing your speed; you should first take into account traffic density. - The new recommended position is also the most ergonomic position to hold your hands in for a long period of time. Relaxed muscles and better control over your car. This trick will, of course, make your driving a better experience. - If you’re driving on a wet or icy road, don’t accelerate too much. Driving at a moderate speed will help you avoid most cases of understeering or oversteering. This will help you stay out of trouble and traffic accidents. - Why is parallel parking so important and it is so time-consuming and confusing? If you can parallel park perfectly, you won’t be afraid of crowded parking lots. Also, you will be more confident when driving a car in reverse. When you master it, you will be able to park any vehicle in a matter of seconds. - The racer locks up the rear wheels, slows the car and points it in the right direction without losing speed he cares so much about. Again, this trick is not only good for racers, and it can help you in an emergency. It can also be handy if you have to perform a sharp, fast turn in winter. - The sense of this technique consists in shifting the transmission down from a higher gear to a lower one by hitting the gas pedal with your heel and braking with your toe at the same time. It reduces the time required for shifting gears, prevents the unloading of rear wheels, and allows fast and smooth downshifting before turning. - What do you normally look at while moving in heavy traffic? Most definitely, your nearest surroundings. It is, of course, important for your safety, but one trick you should learn is to look ahead, too. See, if you notice brake lights a quarter mile ahead of you, it can save you some valuable seconds, enough to stop your car and not get in an accident. - Being an experienced driver is first of all about driving safely. You can’t do it if your side mirrors are not properly adjusted. If the side mirrors mostly reflect the flanks of your car, it means that you are not making proper use of the whole reflecting surfaces.  We are sure if you use these awesome techniques, it will take your driving experience to a whole new level. 10 Unusual Car Tricks You Shouldn't Miss

A lot of car problems can be solved with a little creativity. Every car owner has a standard set of items in their glove compartment and trunk: sunglasses, a soft tissue, a spare wheel and other things of that nature. But sometimes these items may not be helpful enough for what you need. These car hacks are clever, easy, and efficient, and they can save you from a tight spot. Watch the video to learn why having kitty litter in your car can be so convenient and how you can use household items like Coke and socks to get your car in tip-top shape. TIMESTAMPS: Use a rubber band to hold up your phone 0:48 Use a foam noodle to save your car from dents 1:28 Use toothpaste for headlights 2:11 Prevent foggy windows with cat litter 2:51 Make an easy deicer 3:31 Remove rust with Coke 4:16 Use a plunger for dents 5:09 Use cardboard to escape snow 5:56 Clean bumper sticker residue with newspaper 6:36 Use a sock to wipe your windshield 7:25 #cartricks #drivingtips Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - If you know you need to use your phone's GPS but don’t have a holder, you can quickly create a makeshift one with items lying around your house. - Mark the place where your car door usually meets the wall, and then glue or nail the foam noodle to that spot. - If you want your car to make a good impression, taking care of your headlights is vital. Headlights made from polycarbonate or plastic can get a distinct cloudiness that soap can’t easily remove. - An easy trick is to fill a sock with cat litter and leave it in your car overnight. The litter will absorb the moisture inside the car, and your windows will be completely clear by morning. - Fill a spray bottle with 2 parts rubbing alcohol and one part water, and then spray liberally on the windshields. - Coca-Cola isn’t just one of the world’s most popular sodas. It contains a low amount of phosphoric acid, so it can also be used to remove rust from vehicles. - Put some water on the plunger and the dent, and place the plunger against the dent. Then pull and push until the dent pops back into place. - If you get stuck, you can put the cardboard close to the tires, and it will help you get out. If you forget the cardboard, take out the car’s mats, and use them instead. - To remove the residue, dampen a newspaper, and cover the sticker with it. Leave it on for 15 minutes. - A lot of people who have to do laundry outside their homes lose a sock at one time or another. Turn the situation into an opportunity by using your remaining sock as a windshield wiper! 10 Things You Didn’t Know About Flight Attendants

How to Get the Most out of Your Flight. Maybe you love to travel by plane, or maybe just the idea makes you clench your teeth in terror, but we bet you didn’t know all of this. It’s time to ask the experts who fly all the time: flight attendants to reveal their secrets and tips on how to make your flight more comfortable and safe. Many of us consider ourselves experts at navigating departures, flights, and takeoffs almost as naturally as we get out of bed in the morning or take a walk around the block. But however experienced you are, learning some of these insights about airplanes can make your flights more pleasant. It might also make the experience better for the pilot and crew of flight attendants who have to do this all day, every day. TIMESTAMPS All-male crews are a thing of the past. 1:21 Not waiters, but captain’s assistants! 2:36 The crew is just as frustrated as you are. 3:25 Don’t sleep during takeoff or landing. 4:05 Sleeping when cruising is a great idea. 5:13 Chicken or fish? 5:47 Follow instructions — or else! 6:42 Sit toward the back. 7:45 Rely on your flight attendants. 8:49 Flying tips straight from the pros! 9:18 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -Before 1930, the crews of airplanes were 100% male, including the pilot, ground crew, and all of the flight attendants. Over a hundred years, the gender roles reversed, and many now see this as a primarily female profession. -In reality, a flight attendant’s job is to assist the captain by managing the cabin during a flight. -Airline crews are typically paid by the hour, but only the hours spent in actual flight are paid. A flight doesn’t actually start until the door is closed. -Experienced flight attendants recommend avoiding falling asleep on take-off, descent, and landing. Not only will you not be attentive during these dangerous parts of the flight, but it can impinge on your comfort. -Attendants encourage passengers to sleep on night flights, deliberately delaying food service to let people fall asleep. -Some flight attendants use a trick to get more people to choose the fish: they say that the fish is a “special” from the “chef,” reserved exclusively for this flight. -Some airlines supply their flight attendants with tasers to deal with passengers who don’t comply. Safety is very important on planes, and they’ve got to be able to control a situation. -Especially if you’re a nervous flier, you’ll be pleased to know that the back seats tend to be far safer, statistically speaking. -Flight attendants are trained in first aid and CPR. They can treat small wounds, assess symptoms of common traveler illnesses, and even deliver babies in-flight. -Never take your shoes off on a plane. Lots of passengers use fold-down tables for all sorts of things: as writing surfaces, pillows (with drool-catching action!), or places to change a baby. Use antibacterial disinfectant, and clean the tray for your own safety. Flight attendants have very little free time during a flight. If you’re thirsty, rather than pressing the call button, consider going up to them to ask for a glass of water. Check the gas quality 5:43

Use static electricity to fight with your pet's hair 7:25
How to avoid car doors' freezing 8:00
Use potato not to let your car windows fog 8:20
A road-trip with kids 8:46

SUMMARY
- After you find the perfect match, put some on the scratch. After the nail polish dries, just buff the scratch a little to make it smooth.
- To combat such cracks, use clear nail polish. Put 2 or 3 layers on the crack, and it will stop the crack from growing.
- The steering wheel is already too hot to touch! To avoid this, turn the steering wheel by 180 degrees when leaving the car. The part you use to drive will stay in the shadow.
- In order not to get blinded by the sun, take an acrylic sheet and put it on the windshield. Acrylic is easily attached to the windshield thanks to static electricity, and it protects your eyes from ultraviolet rays very well.
- If you've got a long road ahead of you and you are worried that you might get car sick, there is a fantastic solution! You may be surprised, but you just need to put a bay leaf under your tongue.
- Are you one of those people who doesn't know where to put their sunglasses in the car? There is just the place: put them on the sun visor. This way you'll make sure your glasses won't fall on a bumpy road.
- If you are feeling a bit drowsy when driving, put a piece of lemon under your tongue. This will wake you up very quickly. But still, we don't recommend you to drive when you are tired.
- This advice will come in handy to those who find that their cupholder isn't reliable enough. Put a little silicone cupcake case on the bottom of the cupholder. This way, your coffee cup will be secured inside, and all the little pieces of trash will be in the case.
- A tennis ball hanging in the garage can be a point which shows that a wall is near. The ball will help you to feel the car's size more easily, so you won't drive further than necessary.
- Heat the engine for 5-10 minutes, and cut the ignition off. Open the hood, and put a couple of oil drops onto a sheet of paper. Carefully take the sheet in a warm place and wait for 2 hours for the oil to dry.
- Put a drop of gas on a white sheet of paper, blow on it, and wait for the drop to evaporate. If the paper is perfectly white after the experiment, it means that you are using good-quality gas. If there is a greasy spot, it means there is some kerosene in the gas.
- Open a door and one of the front windows. Then open and close the door on the opposite side of the car. Do it a couple of times - this trick helps to cool down the car quickly, and it also gets rid of unpleasant smells easily.
- All you need is a pair of latex gloves. Put them on and rub your gloved hands against the carpet. It will create static electricity which in turn will help pet hair to resurface.
- When the windows in the car start fogging from the inside, you need to cut a potato in two parts. Then rub the potato on the windows from the inside and let them dry.
- Use a shower organizer to keep everything you need on the way, from diapers to bottles with water and some games. Just fix it to the seat in front of you and enjoy your organized ride!
